I'm trying!

Lawdawg is trying to crawl, but he's just not that into it! He makes it on all fours and even rocks back and fourth. But then, he either puts his head down or makes it a backward scoot! He hums the whole time too...love it! Also, don't you love how the color of his shirt around his color is a shade darker from the drool! Pretty!

Pumpkin Patch: Strawberry Farm

Last Saturday, Wade had the morning off, so we ventured out to Strawberry Farm in Marble Falls. We went with the Self 's and Parker (Lindsey and Derek were out of town). It was so much fun. All of the boys loved it. We took tons of pics, went on a hayride and had lunch. The picture below makes me laugh because it looks like Lawson is wiping sweat off his brow! Can we say teething????

Okay, this picture was taken at 9:30 PM! Lawson, when teething, wakes up randomly in the middle of the night. Sometimes I go in there, sometimes I don't. This particular night, he wouldn't calm down. So, I brought him down to watch Mad Men (our favorite show) with me and Wade. I gave him the essentials...teething tablets and orajel! Who knows if either of them really work, but I'll try it! Lawson is even happy in the middle of the night...I love this guy.

Jax's 2nd birthday party at Zilker Park

Jax had his second birthday party at Zilker Park. It was a blast. They have a train that goes around the park and takes about 20 minutes that everyone rode on, then we played on the playground and had cake. It was fun for Jax and hopefully everyone else too! These are a few snapshots from the party. Jax has some cool friends in Texas, so we were glad to hang out with them.

The Cake!

Okay, normally, I wouldn't display this many pics on my blog of a birthday cake. But, in this case, I had to! I had this grand idea to make Jax's cake. I love arts and crafts. So, I thought I'd give it a whirl. My friend, Lisa, here in Austin assisted in this massive undertaking. While discussing our options in accomplishing this task, she assured me it would be 'easy'! Three hours of baking (each train cart is a different kind of cake) and seven hours of icing later, this was our final product! On Jax's invitations, this design was on the inside, so we copied it! I'll have to say that I was proud of us and it tasted good too! Lisa reminds me of Wade in her perfectionistic ways and Jaime Lee in her it'll be easy attitude, so she was a great partner for me.

Roxie came in to spoil the boys...she succeeded! But we sure did miss Jay and Grandpa Jeff.

Chubster!

Seriously, could his cheeks get any bigger?? He will eat absolutely anything we put in front of him (as long as it isn't baby food!).
